In fall 2013, Wild Space launched Neighborhood Sites, a community-based site-specific initiative. Based on the company's long-standing partnership with Milwaukee, Neighborhood Sites engages residents and businesses in developing site-specific events that enhance their neighborhood’s image.
2013: Acts of Wilderness in Menomonee Valley's Three Bridges Park, with outreach at El Puente High School and Longfellow Elementary School.
2014: Brew City Dreams in the Schlitz Stock-House, with outreach at Lincoln Middle School of the Arts and Elm Creative Arts Elementary School.
2015: Luminous in the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory Annex, with outreach at Longfellow Elementary and El Puente High School.
2016: Into the Garden at Villa Terrace, with outreach
at Lincoln Center Middle School.
2017: Artifacts at the Goat Palace, with outreach
with Children's Outing Association.
The 2018-2019 season will feature Making/Unmaking at The Warehouse at the 1635 Building in the West St. Paul Avenue Industrial Historic District
2018-2019 Neighborhood Sites performance and outreach programs are supported in part by grants from The Greater Milwaukee Foundation, The Herzfeld Foundation, The Milwaukee Arts Board and the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
