This September, Wild Space Dance Company will offer a look into a hidden Milwaukee treasure, through an original site-specific performance, A Place for Everything.  Set in the newly re-opened Lynden Sculpture Garden’s sprawling green hills, A Place for Everything will engage audiences with an intriguing mix of dance, music, movement and place, that ventures in and around the park’s towering sculptural masterpieces and the former Bradley Family Farmhouse.  Under the direction of Wild Space artistic director Debra Loewen, A Place for Everything will feature company dancers and a music/sound-scape by Lortel Award Winning composer Josh Schmidt.  A pre-show talk with historian and author John Gurda will accompany the performances.

Tales of Milwaukee long past come to life in performance, at the newly renovated Historical Center. Wild Space Dance Company’s site-specific performance will unveil the beauty and history of the famous brewers bank building through dance. Performances will feature the company dancers, a pre-show talk with historian and author, John Gurda and the inaugural exhibit from the Centers Fall 2010, grand reopening. Past Present will celebrate the Milwaukee County Historical Society’s 75th anniversary.

Wild Space's Stiemke performances are emboldened with contemporary and post modern movement.  Working with company choreographers, Artistic Director Debra Loewen explores the desire to travel, the impact of journeys, wanderlust and the delight of getting lost along the way.
