Set against the dramatic backdrop of twilight along Lake Michigan, Vanishing Line explores the landscape and traces of Milwaukee history in the newly opened Lakeshore State Park. A special preview event on Friday will feature appetizers at Rip Tide restaurant, a talk by John Gurda, and a
boat tour through the harbor docking at the performance site.

The early history of Milwaukee’s Jones Island becomes a Map of Memories, unfolding through images, oral stories, dance and music. The performance is inspired by the lifestyle and culture of the Polish and Eastern European immigrants who created the Jones Island fishing village in the 1850s, connecting the audience with remnants of the past
